Why South Korea May Be the Safest Country on Earth?

CCTV and Safety in Korea

South Korea is one of the safest countries in the world, thanks to technology and the culture of its people. CCTV cameras are everywhere—on streets, in subways, and around neighborhoods—helping prevent crime and protecting belongings. It’s common to see people leave their things unattended in cafés without worry.

Walking home at night also feels safe. Streets are well-lit, and emergency call buttons are placed along sidewalks so people can get help quickly if needed. In addition to this, Korea is developing smart city technologies, such as AI systems and patrol robots, to further enhance the safety of public spaces.

But technology alone isn’t the reason. The respectful manner of Koreans creates a society where safety and trust go hand in hand. Together, culture and technology make Korea a model of peace and security.
